Pada 16 Ogos 2018, saya dan isteri telah berangkat ke Mekah untuk menunaikan haji. Syukur kepada Allah kerana saya dapat Visa Haji yang diberi kepada UNITEN oleh kedutaan Arab Saudi.
Kerajaan Arab Saudi ada memberi 10 Visa (5 staff bersama pasangan) kepada UNITEN setiap tahun. Setelah tiap2 tahun memohon selama 3 tahun, kali ini saya dan isteri berjaya mendapat kuota Visa tersebut.

Amalan sebelum ini, setiap staff yang ditawarkan visa haji ini akan pergi dengan Tabung Haji dan kuota menunggu mereka akan dipotong. Mereka juga layak untuk mendapat subsidi menunaikan haji bagi kali pertama.
Tetapi kali ini, pihak Tabung Haji tidak dapat menguruskan perjalanan haji staff UNITEN. Maka, kami dikehendaki pergi dengan pihak swasta. Oleh itu, kuota menunggu kami dengan Tabung Haji tidak dipotong dan subsidi tidak diberi untuk haji kali ini.
Dengan tempoh notis yang singkat iaitu seminggu sebelum penerbangan, saya agak sibuk menguruskan passport, bayaran visa dan lain2. Nanti saya akan cerita lebih detail lagi.
